Allissa M. Myers
Allissa McDonald Myers, Esquire joined the Law Offices of Jennifer J. Riley in 2020.
As an undergraduate, Attorney Myers studied Political Science and Philosophy at Temple University. She continued her studies at Temple University’s Beasley School of Law where she discovered her passion for Family Law. Allissa was an active member of the Family Law Society, and she volunteered in Temple’s Legal Aid Office in the family law clinical where she began representing clients in their domestic relations litigation including child custody, support, protection from abuse, standby guardianships and adoptions.
During law school, she participated in Temple’s nationally recognized Trial Advocacy Program, where she learned litigation skills from two prominent Philadelphia judges and learned how to be a fierce advocate for her clients. Attorney Myers is also proud of the opportunities to showcase her strength in research and writing. During law school she was selected to draft both an Appellate Fast Track brief in child custody and a brief for appealing an alimony award.
Attorney Myers is a dedicated advocate for victims of domestic violence. Through her time at the Temple Legal Aid Office and her summer at Women Against Abuse, she learned just how complicated domestic violence can make already stressful divorce and child custody proceedings. Attorney Myers takes her role as a counselor very seriously and is dedicated to supporting her clients who are going through particularly tense litigation.
As an adopted child with a complex family history, Attorney Myers knows firsthand how stressful and, at times, painful the legal process can be. She is passionate about helping her clients through difficult times.
In her free time Attorney Myers loves cooking for friends, going to the beach with her husband and walking her dog.
